Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: 23 October 2026

This policy lists what you may not do with OpenContact. It supplements the Terms of Service.

You may not use OpenContact to

  • send or facilitate unlawful, unsolicited, deceptive, or abusive communications;
  • route contacts without a lawful basis or required consent;
  • re-subscribe or otherwise override a known unsubscribe, suppression, bounce, or complaint without a valid legal and operational basis;
  • buy, scrape, harvest, or use contact lists in violation of law or provider policy;
  • transmit malware, phishing, fraud, impersonation, or harmful content;
  • process highly sensitive data unless OpenContact has expressly agreed to support it;
  • probe, scan, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, or bypass service protections;
  • share credentials improperly or attempt to access another workspace or project;
  • use webhooks or APIs to target private networks or systems without authorization;
  • violate a connected provider’s terms, rate limits, or acceptable-use requirements;
  • use the service for sanctions violations or other prohibited transactions.

Enforcement

OpenContact may investigate suspected abuse, limit or suspend affected access, preserve evidence where legally required, and cooperate with lawful requests. Where practical and safe, the customer should receive notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.

Serious or repeated breaches can lead to termination under the Terms. If you think we acted in error, write to support@opencontact.dev and we will review it.

Reporting abuse

Send reports to support@opencontact.dev with relevant URLs, timestamps, project information, and evidence. Do not include secrets or unrelated personal data.
